VibDaq is a range of vibration analyzers and machine condition monitoring systems developed by Cal-Bay Systems.

Applications include: Shaft rotation characterization, rotating machinery testing, bearing analysis, structural testing, real-time machine condition monitoring etc.

There are three vibDaq systems available:

vibDaq Transient: (including a low cost base system)
Designed for portable vibration measurements. The hardware connects to the PC via USB, making this system ideal for use with a laptop computer. Inputs are available for proximity sensors, acclerometers (IEPE compatible) and tachometers. The tachometer input can be used to measure phase and angular displacement.

vibDaq CM:
Designed for larger number of channels and installed applications. The hardware is based on the PXI form factor which although still compact allows the system to be customized for applications where control of test rigs or motors is required.

vibDaq Protect:
Designed for real time machine condition monitoring analysis, including alarm functions to warn of imminent potential machine failure. Portect is used where the risk of failure for rotating equipment such as turbines, generators and pumps is to be minimized.

The vibDaq software provides easy control over the set up parameters, acquisition settings and data logging functions. Real time data plots are available during operation. These plots include:

FFT
Waterfall
Polar
Bode
Orbit
Shaft Centreline

Post analysis is also included, where the saved data can be displayed and analyzed. All plots can be copied as a jpeg file and inserted into any report generator such as Microsoft Word, thus enabling high quality reports to be generated.
