Cal-Bay Systems announces the successful roll-out of two new tools for configuration management. Configuration management and revision control are increasingly important, not just for high volume products, but also for custom-engineered and integrated systems.  Cal-Bay Systems, as a leading systems integrator for test and measurement applications, invests when needed to improve the capability maturity of the services it can offer its customers.

For document control and management of hierarchical bills-of -materials (BOMs), Cal-Bay selected Arena Solutions, a web-based application.  “Arena allows us to provide full product life cycle management” says Lance Haag, V.P. of Engineering.  Lance’s experience with configuration management requirements for military customers helped to integrate Arena into Cal-Bay’s existing project management and purchasing database.

For Source Code Control, Cal-Bay selected Perforce, a leading software configuration management tool built around a scalable, client/server architecture.  “Perforce will allow Cal-Bay to more efficiently develop software with multi-person teams in multiple locations” says Adam Citarella, Cal-Bay project manager.
